MYCentre Fundraising Iftar

Sunday 15th August, 5pm
San Remo Ballroom, 365 Nicholson St, Carlton North
$50 per ticket

RSVP (03) 9354 7500 during business hours.

Be a part of building the youth's future... ACT NOW!

The Fundraising Charity Iftar (Dinner) will consist of entertainment, short motivational speeches, multimedia presentations, an auction as well as a scrumptious 3 course dinner. The congregational prayer will also be performed.

We extend this invitation to you to take part in this memorable night and request the pleasure of your company as our honoured guest. We look forward to your acceptance of our invitation. Should you have any queries, do not hesitate to contact us.

As it directly impacts the grass roots of the society in both areas of prevention and intervention, your indispensable contribution and support can make a drastic improvement in the lives of many young and disadvantaged people.

The Centre is being proposed at a time when there is growth in the number of culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) people in Melbourne; with the commensurate need for complementary youth activities. The MyCentre initiative is a project aimed at building a multipurpose centre for all members of the multicultural/faith communities, emphasising on the youth. With your help, MyCentre will provide social, educational and recreational services for all involved. Given the unparalleled scope and breadth of activities and services planned for the area, this project is long overdue.

By providing a range of activities in a positive and supportive environment, we hope to develop physical, social and emotional growth in our youth. We seek to engage them in a relaxed, non-confrontational environment, thus minimising the opportunity and need for harmful risk-taking behaviour.

Hi, Could you guys explain the fund raising process a bit to us please? I donated money at the "Night of Entertainment" a few months ago and I thought there was more money raised than what is indicated on the website. How much more is needed to buy the land?

By Suha on Aug 10, 2010

MemmyT not everyone has fulfilled their pledge from that night for whatever reason. On the iftaar this Sunday there will be items up for auction as well as pledges being taken to raise money for the new centre insha-Allah.
